wellbeing

The science of wellbeing according to Ayurveda. This living ancient art of LIFE or AYUR (life) VEDA (science) is very much alive today, practiced by millions of people around the globe.

Ayurveda sounds big and un-comprehensible even un-digestable. It took me awhile, i had to go backwards in time for understanding - all the way back to my childhood. Growing up in South East Asia, Malaysia to be exact exposed me to ultra multicultural environment. Our markets sold foods & produce from at least 4 different etnicities.

The entire South East Asia was Hindu, Langkasuka, that’s right we were part of the royal kingdom of Langkasuka. The Indian Hindu influenced the way we live and obviously the food we eat. Slavery trading brought many Indians over as well and assimilation of culture is inevitable.

If music breaks a language barrier, food brings people together knocking off the barrier culture & tradition. Therefore I chose to study the principle of Ayurveda and it’s relationship with food and moods. According to Ayurveda, there is a subtle link between disease manifestation and the six psychological expressions, such as lust, anger, greed, desire, attachment, and ego.

Eating according to your dosha helps to pacify the imbalances, what does that mean? Ayurveda teaches us that each Dosha craves a certain food what it’s gone off balance for example

  • Vata craves to snack // spicy and exciting

  • Pitta loves sour and pungent foods - pineapple with sweet sour salt

  • Kapha loves passive eating - indulgence think potatoes with aoli

This is where I come in - I pimp your pantry to an Ayurvedic friendly one!!

I’ll teach you what foods pacifies your dosha and help you maintain a pantry that is user friendly and medicinal
