REST is Rebellion
5 Minutes. 5 Days. One simple reset.
REST isn’t about stopping. It’s about sensing. It’s how you reclaim your body in a doing world. This isn’t a technique to master. It’s a relationship to build, one small embodied choice at a time.
WHAT IS THE REST METHOD?
REST is a simple, body-based practice to regulate your nervous system and bring you back home to yourself.
It blends breath, awareness, gentle movement, and stillness to help you shift from overwhelmed to grounded, even on busy days.
The REST Framework:
R – Restart: Come back to the present moment
E – Engage: Reconnect with your body’s intelligence
S – Silence: Find the still point beneath the noise
T – Tune In: Respond rather than react
Why REST?
We don’t rest to pause. We rest to return to our breath, our bodies, and the soft knowing beneath the surface.
When you feel scattered, overstimulated, or disconnected, REST offers a way to meet yourself where you are.
REST is for you if you:
• Feel “on” all the time
• Long for clarity and steadiness
• Want rest that’s regenerative, not just absence of doing
Try REST — 5 Days, 5 Minutes
A simple, body-based practice to help your system reset.
No props, no pressure.
Just five quiet minutes a day to come back to yourself.
-
Day 1 – Restart
Place one hand on your belly. Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth. Five slow, steady breaths.
Ask yourself: What would feel regulating right now? -
Day 2 – Engage
Place both hands on your ribs. Notice the sides of your body expand as you breathe in and soften as you breathe out. Add small shoulder circles. Sense warmth and movement building from within.
-
Day 3 – Tune In
Bring one hand to your heart. Name what you feel without trying to fix it.
Soften your jaw. Let the exhale lengthen naturally. -
Day 4 – Silence
Close your eyes and follow the breath from nose to belly.
Rest in the quiet pause after each exhale, even if it’s just for a second. -
Day 5 – Integrate
Lie down or stay seated. Scan the body from toes to crown.
Notice where there’s ease and where there’s effort. Choose one tiny shift you can carry into the rest of your day.
